Happy New Year – 2020!

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everyone had a happy holiday season. šŸ™‚

I haven’t been crafting very much lately… surviving the holidays and also working so. much. leaves very little energy or will-power for much else! However, the knitting that I did manage to work on was a couple of knitted hat-and-mittens sets for a couple of my little cousins. Sadly, I did NOT get pictures of those before I mailed them off. šŸ˜¦

But I DID get pictures of the scarf that I made. šŸ™‚

This is the Pioneer Braid Scarf, by Hither and Yarn, and yes – I had to get Dallas in the picture too…

To be perfectly honest, I love this next picture. I think it turned out quite well…

This was made with some yarn that a friend gave me years ago. Years. I finally found a pattern worthy of that yarn, and it turned out lovely! I believe the yarn I used was Nobori, from Eisa Kunoro. The colors did this on their own, which gives an amazing effect… each triangle is almost its own color! This scarf will be gifted away, but I would love to use this pattern again. It’s fairly simple, and you can adjust it for any type of yarn (just be prepared to do a little math).

My next project will be another Fox by Sarah Gasson. Visiting her website is so dangerous because her knits are SUPER adorable and I want allll the patterns. Perhaps one day……

This next Fox will be a mini Fox…. I have an abundance of fingering weight yarn that I need to use. And I also take joy in making miniature toys, so why not? I have chosen a light grey for the main color, a light brown for the feet and tips of the ears, and a creamy color for tummy and muzzle.

This isn’t the best picture, but you’ll (hopefully) be able to get an idea of what little Mr. (or Ms.) Fox will look like!

Thank you for visiting today, Happy New Year once again! Make 2020 your best year yet, and keep on knitting!

~A.
