I was given this fairly new pair of pants, and I've decided to make some toys out of them. First, a toy fish or two paired with some other material that I have, which will make the first one or two a bit girly. And cute!

Here it is.... complete.... the "Cheshire" elephant! Embroidered eyes, so it is safe for the littlest members of the family. Soft and cuddly for little hands to hold and love. 🙂
With some more recycled yarn from the same sweater, I have started another striped elephant! The colors I chose for this one remind me of the Cheshire cat. And so far I have made the head and body portion of the elephant, so it's on to the ears.
Just finished this little elephant today.... Very soft and cuddly. I unraveled a sweater to get the yarn. The eyes are embroidered, so no buttons to worry about with very young children.
I have made several of these baby dinosaurs recently. What I love about them is their simplicity. And also the fact that I was able to re-use some men's shirts in the process of creating them.
